SSIP

Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP) has been reducing the health and safety assessment costs and bureaucracy in the supply chain since 2009, by making cross-recognition between member schemes as effective as possible.

In order for an organisation to be SSIP registered, a minimum standard of health and safety requirements must be met. Once registered, the health and safety section of a pre-qualification assessment is already complete, saving time for both the client and the supplier.

How does SSIP work?

SSIP acts as an umbrella institution to facilitate and maximise cross-recognition of health and safety assessments between SSIP member schemes, reducing the requirement of in-depth analysis between the different assessments of separate organisations.

Constructionline & SSIP

Constructionline is a Founder Member of SSIP as they support the aims of reducing duplication and saving time for both buyers and suppliers in prequalification. Health & Safety is mandatory section of Constructionline and obtaining an SSIP certificate is an acceptable means of exemption from having to complete this section. This therefore minimises the time required to spend during the procurement/tendering process.

BS EN 1090-1:2009 (8th Dec)

Grand Engineering have recently had our annual audit for BS EN 1090 and is really pleased to say we excelled ourselves – the auditor was really impressed! He quoted that “this is by far THE best steel fabricator company I have ever come across”. It meant so much to hear those words as we as a company know how hard we work in order to be the best there is! #hardworkpaysoff
